Harlequin Macaw Babies. I’ve started hand feeding them and they’re growing so fast. The pin feathers are already starting to come in. One of the babies are starting to show some red pin feathers. The other bird doesn’t seem to have this red color, still a little early to tell. I will post some pictures soon. I just wanted to give an update on them. Harlequins are known for having a laid back and affectionate personalities. Good choice for those who would love a large bird with a calm demeanor. Highly intelligent, comical and strikingly beautiful. They thrive on a lot of interaction with people making this bird a well family member. They’re the easiest macaws to train and love on. They really love that attention and very easy to bond to you. All of the harlequins that I’ve ever raised have been the sweetest birds. I’ve been doing this for over 40 years now and I love it when babies come along. Interacting with them as soon as they’re pulled from the parents to start hand feeding. Tons of love.
